Sexual Health

Supporting and maintaining the sexual wellbeing of our patients is the driving force of our Sexual Health service.

With clinics in Wakefield and Barnsley, Spectrum’s Sexual Health service covers a broad range of areas.

From assisting under 19s with STI screening at a drop-in session, to providing non-clinical HIV support and education to vulnerable individuals – no two days at Spectrum are ever the same! Our approach has resulted in purpose-built clinical premises, modern customer care, a highly-skilled and dual-trained nursing team, successful sexual health outreach, pioneering Relationship & Sexual Health Education (RSE), strong links to primary care networks, digitally-inclusive care pathways, and proactive management of GUM outcomes. This has solidified Spectrum as a high-quality and innovative sexual health provider.

The highlight, for me, is knowing when you’ve made a difference to someone’s life. That really brings me joy.
